42Casts is a veteran-focused charity dedicated to supporting the well-being and reintegration of military veterans into civilian life. 42Casts uses fishing as a therapeutic and community-building activity, providing veterans and First Responders with a unique outlet to heal, connect, and thrive.

 

Mission:

42Casts aims to honor and support veterans as well as First Responders by promoting mental health, fostering camaraderie, and building resilience through the sport of fishing.

 

Core Initiatives:

 

1. Therapeutic Fishing Programs: Organised fishing trips and workshops to help veterans manage stress, anxiety, and PTSD in a calming, natural environment.

 

 

2. Community Building: Creating a sense of belonging by connecting veterans and First Responders with others who share similar experiences, strengthening support networks, and reducing social isolation.

 

 

3. Advocacy and Support: Raising awareness about the challenges veterans face and providing resources and assistance for mental health, employment, and social services.

 

 

42Casts also thrives on breaking down the Mental Health barrier that our Veterans and First Responders face daily, we are driven to ensure those suffering PTSD and other service related injuries have an avenue to reach out and support they need to continue with their day to day activities.

 

42Casts commenced in 2022 in a small capacity but has grown over the years to be a fully incorporated Charity registered the Australian Charities and Non-for Profit Commision.

 

When we started 42Casts we had one goal, "If we could save one veteran from committing suicide we are job complete."

 

42Casts is run by Veterans of the Iraq, Afghanistan and Solomon Islands conflicts.  We are Veterans supporting our veteran community.
